What is the difference between the AN0167H07 and a non-GPS VHF antenna?
Both carry VHF voice on 160–174 MHz. The AN0167H07 adds a 1575 MHz element that receives GPS, so a radio with location tracking can report its position. A non-GPS antenna passes voice only and will weaken or block the GPS fix. If your radios use GPS dispatch or tracking, fit the AN0167H07. If they do not, a standard VHF antenna is enough.
Can the AN0167H07 be installed on radios without GPS?
Yes. It is a standard VHF antenna with an added GPS receive element. On a radio that has no GPS, voice on 160–174 MHz works normally and the GPS element simply stays idle. There is no downside to reception. If none of your radios use GPS, a plain VHF antenna in the same band is enough.
