VHF station is standard on any serious vessel — flying bridge, tower, helm station, or crew quarters. The HM-195B CommandMic allows you to set up a fully functional control station for the main radio at any desired location up to 18.3 m (60.3 ft) away, using two OPC-1541 extension cables.
This additional control panel provides volume control, channel selection, and full DSC functionality, including distress signaling. A dedicated Distress button is located on the back of the HM-195B, shielded and separated from the keypad to prevent accidental activation.
The dot-matrix display mirrors the main radio's interface. The arrow-key keypad allows control of all menus, including radio station settings. There is no need to return to the main radio unit to change the operating mode. On vessels using a "black box" configuration, the HM-195B serves as the primary operator interface (in this setup, the transceiver unit itself lacks a control panel).
The HM-195B model can be operated in the cockpit or on the open bridge of a vessel without risk of damage from spray, rain, or accidental immersion in water. The CommandMic’s high reliability is ensured by its IPX7 protection rating (capable of withstanding submersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes) and the proprietary AquaQuake™ water drainage system. At the same time, the 2.0 W audio output power (4-ohm impedance) provides sufficient volume to overcome engine or wind noise at the workstation.
