Standard IMPRES calibration runs automatically on the charger but requires a full charge cycle. Across a 30- or 50-battery inventory rotating through two shifts, that adds up to significant charger time unavailable for regular charging. The PMNN4491D removes this variable.

Note: PMNN4491D replaces earlier versions PMNN4491A, PMNN4491AR, PMNN4491B, and PMNN4491C.

The D revision of the PMNN4491 carries an IMPRES V2 chip, which enables self-calibration. When used with a compatible IMPRES charger running current firmware (PMPN4576A or PMPN4284A), the battery calibrates without the full dedicated IMPRES cycle — it happens automatically in the background during normal charging. For fleet managers monitoring battery health through IMPRES Fleet Management software, the capacity and cycle data remain accurate without requiring operator action.

The battery delivers 2100 mAh at 7.4V in the slim high-density form factor — the same physical profile as the XPR 3300e and XPR 3500e standard battery. Dimensions are 112.35 x 51.65 x 20.70 mm and weight is 135 g. The IP68 rating matches the host radio body: both withstand full submersion. The battery is not intrinsically safe rated.

One operational note for fleet managers: the PMNN4491D contains an IMPRES V2 chip that does not display status on older IMPRES V1 chargers. The battery charges normally on V1 chargers, but the charger display will not show capacity or cycle data for this battery version. Is the PMNN4491D compatible with the XPR 3300e and XPR 7550e?

Yes. The PMNN4491D is the standard OEM battery for the XPR 3300e and XPR 3500e, and is confirmed compatible with the full XPR 3000e and XPR 7000e series including XPR 7350e, XPR 7550e, XPR 7380e, and XPR 7580e. It is a direct replacement for all earlier PMNN4491 versions (A through C). For APX 900 or APX 1000i radios, a firmware update to R28.30.00 or greater is required - contact our team to confirm your radio's firmware version.
