The EA-01 moves sound to the ear through a transparent acoustic tube. The tube connects to a silicone earbud and blends in against the skin and collar. A coiled cord reaches 36 in fully extended and stays close to the body under a jacket. Why is the EA-01 listed for the BD302i and PD362i if it works with other Hytera radios?
The EA-01 does not connect to the radio. It plugs into a Hytera PTT/MIC cable, and the cable sets radio compatibility. This page covers the EA-01 with the ACS-01, which fits the 1-pin connector on the BD302i and PD362i. With the ACM-01, the same earpiece works with the BD502i, PD402i and other 2-pin models. The ACN-02P covers H-Series handhelds. Order the cable that matches your radio's connector.
Is the EA-01 compatible with other brands using the same connector?
Hytera lists the EA-01 only with its own PTT/MIC cables. A 3.5 mm plug fits many listen-only jacks on other brands' cables and radios. The EA-01 has a 90 Ω speaker, which is higher than many standard earpieces. On a non-Hytera audio circuit, volume may be lower or uneven. Hytera does not confirm this use. For other brands, order an acoustic tube earpiece specified by that manufacturer.
