Hytera EHS16 C-Style Earpiece with In-Line PTT and Mic
The Hytera EHS16 is a genuine earpiece with an over-the-ear fit (C-shell type), equipped with a built-in microphone and a PTT button. The accessory is designed for Hytera BD302i and PD362i series portable radios. The device connects via a 2.5 mm jack and delivers a rated speaker output power of 10 mW.
Why Professionals Choose the Hytera Earpiece EHS16
The EHS16 moves listening and talking away from the radio. A C-shaped hook sits behind the ear. The earpiece rests just outside the ear canal, so the user can still hear the surrounding environment. Additionally, the detachable silicone ear tip can be rotated for use in either the left or right ear. Hytera includes both long and short earpieces in the box. The in-line PTT button and microphone are located on the 36-inch cord, allowing the user to talk without touching the radio. Weighing 1.2 oz, the device has a speaker output power of 10 mW, which is quite sufficient for good audibility.
The EHS16 is a genuine Hytera accessory designed for use with BD3 and PD3 series radios, specifically the BD302i and PD362i models. The earpiece is CE-certified and rated for operation from -4°F to 140°F. This temperature range covers heated lobbies, unheated stockrooms, and outdoor use at schools.
AXDIGITAL supplies the EHS16 as an authorized Hytera dealer.

FAQ
Is the EHS16 compatible with other brands using the same connector?
Hytera designs and lists the EHS16 for Hytera radios only. A 2.5 mm plug appears on radios from other brands, but manufacturers wire the PTT and microphone contacts differently. On a non-Hytera radio, the earpiece may receive audio while PTT or the microphone does not work. For mixed-brand fleets, order audio accessories specified for each radio brand.
Is the 10 mW speaker output of the EHS16 enough for everyday use
For offices, retail floors, hotels and schools, yes. The EHS16 speaker sits just outside the ear canal, so it needs much less power than the radio's own speaker. Hytera rates it at 10 mW, with 30 mW maximum. The radio's volume control sets the listening level. On loud production floors, the open-ear design lets ambient noise in. There, an in-ear earpiece or a noise-reducing headset works better
